We are a dedicated team of aviation enthusiasts with a devoted passion for flight simulators and aerobatics. The
Virtual Red Arrows was founded in 2005, the team performed the first 9 ship display
LIVE at the Virtual Festival of Aerobatic Teams in December 2009.
Our shows are tailored as closely as possible to the RAF Red Arrows show routines in respect to their dedication and unrivaled skills. We are expanding our own abilities and knowledge in 2010. The team are training hard for this season's live shows to bring

 Hello VRA fans, the team are pleased to announce that we will be opening our training session communications to the public. Intregued how RED1 leads the team from manouver to manouver? Or how the synchro pair pull off their stunning head to head display with concise radio commands? Join us every training session on Teamspeak 3 where you can hear the live training taking place. On occassions the team may decide to stream live directly from our training flights.
All visitors welcome, please respect our communications and maintain radio silence when our training is in progress.

 Do you have what it takes?
The VRA are actively searching for new pilots. Dedication and enthusiasm required to learn some of the most challenging virtual aerobatic manoeuvres to date. Individuals who house these qualities are urged to apply. We are passionate about our flying and believe in a strong comradery atmosphere so a good sense of humour is always a bonus!
Please check out our training schedule, it's mandatory that all recruits and team pilots attend at least 2 of 3 weekly training sessions.

Big welcome to our newest recruit who has succesfully passed his try out period. "Phillip" will undergo a minimum training period of 6 weeks before being considered for the active team.

June 2010 has proven a great start for the VRA. The first half of the season's training is starting to pay off. More advanced maneuvers will be tackled following up to the VFAT shortlisting period in October. Wish us luck!

The VRA are making a positive step forward after experiencing some disagreements within the team concerning how we should fly this year's show routine. Unfortunately various issues could not be amicably resolved; we are sad to receive the news that 3 of our pilots will be voluntarily leaving us. We would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their services to the VRA and wish them well with their future endeavours.
The remaining members are confident that the new decisions concerning various maneuvers and show dynamics have been made for the good of team. 2009 pilots are now being recalled and we will be intensely training 1-2 new recruits in preparation for our live performances this year. We know it's been a while since we released media showcasing our latest training efforts, we'll be sure to rectify this as soon as possible and keep you updated as always with the latest team developments and progress.

 VRA running preliminary tests on the highly anticipated Flaming Cliffs 2 simulator platform. This upgrade includes an overhaul of the main game engine, textures, more accurate flight data and many more improvements which may help develop our team to a new level. Feature list here. We will continue to test this platform before deciding to make a full switch from Flaming Cliffs 1.12.
