The Virtual Red Arrows are a dedicated team of aviation enthusiasts.

We have a devoted passion for flight simulators and aerobatics. The team was founded in 2005 and performed the first 9 ship formation display LIVE at the Virtual Festival of Aerobatic Teams in December 2009. Our shows are tailored as closely as possible to the RAF Red Arrows show routines in respect to their dedication and unrivaled skills. We are expanding our own abilities and knowledge this year. The Virtual Red Arrows (VRA) continue to train hard for this season's live shows which will bring never before seen maneuvers to the virtual aerobatic stage.

The Virtual Red Arrows would like to take this opportunity to thank all spectators for their kind words following our live show performance on Friday 2nd December 2011. We have received a vast positive response and the team are completely overwhelmed by your support!

We were due to start training on our new show routine in January 2012 however your encouragement has boosted some incredibly tired virtual pilots to resume training immediately to maintain the high standard you have come to expect from our shows. The show you have just witnessed took 2 years to develop and perfect with over 4 hours training per week per pilot! Our first training for the new routine was briefly flown yesterday which houses new formations and pilot position reallocation which we will release very soon. The training went incredibly well for the first "test" flight and we will continue to work hard over the coming months to be show ready once more for our next live event (possibly in March 2012).

We will be attending various exhibitions next year where we hope to meet as many flight simulation fanatics as possible. We will also be demonstrating new flight systems which we welcome you to try. More details will be released nearer the time. Thank you once again and on behalf of the entire team we wish you and your families a Merry Christmas and a great New Year.

About VFAT:
The Virtual Festival of Aerobatic Teams or VFAT is a big international airshow like RIAT or MAKS, flown using the LockOn and IL2 flight simulators. The pilots mostly simulate the displays of real aerobatic teams like the Red Arrows, Thunderbirds, Patrouille Suisse, Blue Angels, Russian Knights and Blue Impulse, however, many teams also create their own spectacular displays instead of simulating real life counterparts.

VFAT is currently the only virtual airshow where such a large group of teams gather to create an event of this size and since 2007, spectators can watch the event live using internet streaming technology. VFAT takes place once a year and offers the opportunity for virtual aerobatic teams and solo pilots to present their hard work for the enjoyment to the general public.
